Linear ball bearings for round guides are characterised by their low weight and high loading capacity. Used in combination with our precision shafts they enable very large traversing distances with relatively low costs. Numerous types of the bearings are available for all kinds of different use cases and requirements. Our range of bearings begins with bearings for Ø 3 mm shafts in medical equipment and ranges up to Ø 150 mm for use in heavy-duty machines. The suitable shafts with corresponding machining to the customer’s wishes are also included in the standard stock range. Learn more
The standard linear bearings with one ball cage are particularly suitable for normal, radial loading. Tandem type bearings with 2 cages should be used for applications with moment loading. Special bearings with triple cage are available on request for very high moments.
Standard bearings consist of a hardened outer ring made of stainless steel, ground on all sides, with a ball cage made of plastic, in which precision balls are guided. Bearings with a steel cage must be used for high temperatures above 80°C. The SB type has an outer ring made of resistant plastic, in which metal plates with ground raceways are inserted. The KH type is made of deep-drawn steel and is characterised by particularly economic efficiency and small installation space.
All linear bearings can be supplied with one or 2 seals (additional identifier U or UU). The seals made of nitrile have 2 sealing lips, which lie against the shaft in a dragging position. While the inner lip seal prevents the exit of lubricant, the outer lip seal is designed as a dirt repeller.
